:iconfliptableplz: AFTER 6 DAMN DAYS, FINALLY DONE.

Art-trade with MrBig2, featuring her cat characters Callie (trying to reach for the fooooooood) and Maple with the lazy idiot Private Snafu from the animated short series... well, "Private Snafu" (Situation Normal: All Fucked Up) .

I only saw a bit of those cartoons, I was trying to find any moments where he'd interact with animals, but I didn't notice any cats or dogs, so I decided to make up what could happen. I stumbled upon a screenshot of Snafu where he seems to be about to eat a sandwich (or what do you call it?), and that's where I got the idea for the picture.
I couldn't find proper model sheets where Snafu would be shown in full body, so I had to use some screenshots from different cartoons... And the uniform(s ?) didn't look the same! :stare:
All "Private Snafu" cartoons are black and white, and I was asked to make the picture fully colored, so I had to look at photos of real uniforms for color reference. Not sure if I got the colors right... ^^;
I would've done more research on the character and short series, but I have no time for that stuff and I don't think I'll need this information any time soon, thank school for that, they just love giving us a lot of homework. :stare:

God, I'm SO STUPID. WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?! HOW DID I MANGE TO GET INTO 11TH GRADE?

I'm already thinking about closing art-trades because I'm starting to feel stressed about not being able to do them in less than 4 days, but I won't do it for now.

The only animals in a Snafu short I can recall offhand was the mosquito in "Malaria Mike" and the Jimmy Durante seal from the "Aleutians" short. Hope those kittens aren't kawaii Japanese spies...!


The New Looney Tunes Cartoons series should really consider doing a "lost" Snafu cartoon. They could digitally make it look real beat-up, like it was a film dug out of a 75-year-old vault. Of course, there are actually a couple of real-life lost Snafu shorts they could model them on (though they can't use racist caricatures, and probably want to avoid that one about v.d., too).
